A year ago at this time, Rick Santorum was a two-term senator and possible presidential candidate. Yesterday, he was at Penn State as a guest of David Horowitz, as part of the absurd “Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week.”

Of course, Santorum’s presence wasn’t the real problem; what the former Republican senator had to say was the troublesome part. (thanks to reader R.S. for the tip)

Americans just don’t understand, Rick Santorum said. Not the grave nature of the threat posed by radical Islam — or “Islamo-Fascism” in the lexicon of the former U.S. senator. Not the history of Islam or its underlying principles. And certainly not the fundamental differences between Islam and Judeo-Christian culture.

No, Santorum told a packed lecture hall on Tuesday night, Americans just don’t get it. […]

While Christianity presents a humble, meek message emphasizing love, he said, Islam stemmed from the strong rule of the prophet Mohammed. “Every aspect of life was ruled.”

“Islam, unlike Christianity, is an all-encompassing ideology,” said Santorum, a Penn State alumnus. “It is not just something you do on Sunday…. We (as Americans) don’t get that.”

Now, there are a couple of ways to look at this. For example, Santorum’s drive to compare Christianity and Islam on matters of peace seems inherently suspect. In historical terms, if one includes the last several centuries, it’s a toss-up.

But more importantly, Islam is an “all-encompassing ideology”? And Christianity isn’t? This from Rick “Man on Dog” Santorum? Indeed, the former senator seemed to imply that Christianity is “just something you do on Sunday,” whereas Islam is a faith tradition that believers carry throughout the week.

I wonder if Santorum realizes how ridiculous this sounds coming from him. For that matter, I wonder whether Santorum’s religious right buddies agree that Christianity is not “all-encompassing.”

On college campuses across America this week, conservatives are gathering together to listen to right-wing luminaries such as Ann Coulter and former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA) as part of David Horowitz’s Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week.

Horowitz is claiming that it will be “the biggest conservative campus protest ever” and “a wake-up call for Americans on 200 university and college campuses” about “the enemy.” But on CSPAN’s Washington Journal this weekend, Kareem Shora, the Executive Director of the American-Arab Anti Discrimination Committee, said that Horowitz was dramatically overstating the number of participating schools:

We contacted those institutions, alerting them to the fact that their name was being used, and wondering what exactly was taking place. … It’s important to note though, after we contacted those institutions, most of those institutions indicated that no such events is taking place on those campus. And many contacted the sponsors and told them, “do not use my institution’s name in your campaign,” including some very renowned universities such as Yale and Princeton.

Runnymede Trust:

The Runnymede Trust has identified eight components that they say define Islamophobia.
This definition, from the 1997 document ‘Islamophobia: A Challenge For Us All’ is widely accepted, including by the European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia.

The eight components are:

1) Islam is seen as a monolithic bloc, static and unresponsive to change.
2) Islam is seen as separate and ‘other’. It does not have values in common with other cultures, is not affected by them and does not influence them.
3) Islam is seen as inferior to the West. It is seen as barbaric, irrational, primitive and sexist.
4) Islam is seen as violent, aggressive, threatening, supportive of terrorism and engaged in a ‘clash of civilisations’.
5) Islam is seen as a political ideology and is used for political or military advantage.
6) Criticisms made of the West by Islam are rejected out of hand.
7) Hostility towards Islam is used to justify discriminatory practices towards Muslims and exclusion of Muslims from mainstream society.
8) Anti-Muslim hostility is seen as natural or normal.

Islamic Human Rights Commission on Runnymede Trust report:
The report itself is not without fault. In particular it advocates that Muslims, as a self-help measure should be more accommodating towards the Jewish community regarding events in the Middle East. It suggests we should condemn every action taken that offends Jewish sensibilities in the Middle East, almost regardless of the rights and wrongs of each individual incident. The Runnymede Trust published a similar report on anti-Semitism in 1993, and no similar recommendation was made to the Jewish community. This aside, the report documented the problems faced by Muslims in a very real and thorough manner. The Runnymede Trust was set up in 1968 as a think tank to advise government on race relations issues. Introduction to Judeofascist Awareness Week

Here we go. As I’ve stated numerous times, this event is a response to (W)horowitz’s “Islamofascist awareness week.” I’ve made it clear many times to the chosen ones not to start something they can’t finish. This is much more then a semantic comeback. I use the term “judeofascist” simply because it describes these people perfectly. Why waste time juggling terms like zionists, neocons, straussians, leocons etc? Lets call as it is.
Judeofascism is a serious threat, not just for people in the Middle East but also in the West. More then a million Iraqis and thousands of westerners are dead because of it just in the last 4 years alone. One of the reasons they have it in especially for Muslims is because we are the only group of people left in the world who oppose them in large numbers, and understand them, very well. Now some people might want to pretend that its a pure coincidence that the Feiths, Perles, Ledeens, Horowitzs, Kristols, Podhoretzs etc all come from the same ethnic and religious background. I’m sure if they were cyclopian green men from Mars, nobody would notice either. All the useful shaboos goys just happen to share their extremist worldview, what a surprise. As a proud gentile, I’m sick and tired of Israel and its amen corner commit horrific crimes daily and play victim screaming “anti-semitism.” Thats another can of worms I will open later(hint : Hey Arabs, reclaim semitism from the Khazars and Russians).
During this week I will be profiling individual judeofascists, and their respective organizations, along with book reviews and recommendations in the usual sardonic DrM style. We’re not playing games here. Everything from the criminals behind the Armenian genocide to the “apes and monkeys” lies about the Qu’ran will be exposed and refuted.
